ASIATIC CONTINUES RECORD IN SMRT WITH NEWLY LAUNCHED ‘DOWNTOWN LINE’ STAGE 3

DOWNTOWN LINE (DTL), one of Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transport (SMRT) lines which connects the north western & eastern regions of Singapore to the CBD (Central Business District) and the Marina Bay area. MRT DTL Stage 1 started construction in 2013 and completed with DTL Stage 3 in 2017.

Asiatic’s equipment was approved by Singapore’s LTA (Land Transport Authority), and started our supply from DTL Stage 1. In total, Asiatic supplied 103 units of SHINWA Cooling Towers and 306 units of MONOFLO Pumps (combination of End Suction, Vertical Multistage & Submersible Pumps) for the air-conditioning systems in 34 stations. The total value of contract is approximately SGD3,000,000.00. In addition, we also supplied 4 units of cooling towers and 10 units of MONOFLO pumps (combination of End Suction & Vertical Multistage) to the train depot for the Downtown Line at Gali Batu worth approximately SGD320,000.00

Since Oct 1983, when the first North-South Line was constructed, till date, there are now five completed Lines in operation, with two under construction. The five operational Lines are the North-South Line, East-West Line, North-East Line, Circle Line and the recent launched Downtown Line.

Of the completed and operational Lines, Asiatic is proud to have supplied (SHINWA) cooling towers with total refrigeration tonnages of 14,250RT, as well as 96 nos. of chilled & condenser water circulation pumps in the HVAC systems for all the 16 air-conditioned stations of the NORTH-EAST LINE (NEL).

Asiatic also supplied pumps for the HVAC systems to the CIRCLE LINE (CCL) – CCL 1, 3, 4 & 5. A total number of 126 units of MONOFLO DIN-Master end suction back pullout centrifugal pumpsets, comprising various models from the smallest size of DMT65-260 up to the largest size DMT125-400, were supplied. The hydraulics of these pumps are either fully stainless steel constructed; or with cast iron body, bronze impeller with stainless steel shaft construction. Apart from pumps, SHINWA Cooling Towers were also supplied & installed in 22 stations of Circle Line 2,3,4,5, with a total refrigeration tonnage of 8000RT.
