More than 20 guests were invited to SANSO ELECTRIC CO’s manufacturing facility at Himeji-City, Aoyama-Kita, for the launch of the SANSO-ASIATIC ‘HYDRO-ELECTRIC’ PUMP. The introduction of the Hydro-Electric pump has generated many interests and inquiries.
This product is a joint-development between SANSO ELECTRIC and ASIATIC JAPAN. Hydro-power or hydro-electricity refers to the conversion of energy from flowing water into electricity. The product is designed to generate electricity in remote areas or in areas where power supplies are affected by an aftermath of a disaster; tapping on the natural water flow from such as rivers. The Hydro-pump uses the effective head and the flow rate of the mountainous rivers and reservoirs. Mechanical energy created by the moving water spins the rotor of the turbine. This turbine is connected to an electro-magnetic generator which produces electricity when the turbine spins, generating maximum power of 700W (100V, 50/60Hz).
The main features of the SANSO Hydro-pump includes, small installation footprint, design for ease in installation, small and lightweight.
Apart from applications in areas where there are effective use of the natural sources of rivers and reservoirs; the Hydro-pump is also designed for applications in large scale industrial plants and commercial building where unused water can be utilised to generate electricity.
