SP POWER ASSETS (SPPA) CABLE TRANSMISSION CABLE TUNNEL

SP POWERGRID’s 35km of deep-level high voltage power transmission cable tunnels in Singapore. It will consist of two cable tunnels 60m underground - the 16.5km East-West Tunnel and the 18.5km North-South Tunnel across Singapore to house the main transmission cables. When completed, the tunnels will allow for efficient installation of transmission cables as well as facilitate ease of maintenance and replacement of cables.

The construction of the SPPA TRANSMISSION CABLE TUNNEL (East-West) started in 2013; and to be finished by 2018 with the completion of the North-South Transmission Cable Tunnel.

Asiatic Engineering has been awarded various contracts from various appointed contractors to supply pumps for the Power Circuit Cooling System (PCCS) of this SP Power Assets owned project. The combined contracts from Obayashi Singapore Pte Ltd (EW1), SK E&C (EW2), Bintai Kindenko Pte Ltd (EW3), ShinSung E&G (NS1 & 2) & Deluge Fire Protection (NS3), total to approximately SGD 600,000.00.

132 units of MONOFLO ‘DIN-MASTER Series’ End Suction Pumps; and 33 units of MONOFLO ‘LINEAR Series’ Vertical Multistage Pumps will be supplied for the cooling water circulation.
